Wooden crutches are free or cheap (Everyone’s using aluminum
now) and cry out to be strung up. This one has a sardine can for a radiator/resonator,
and tunes with violin pegs.The strings are stopped against the crutch leg.
It's currently strung with .013" and .020" music wire and a guitar D string,
and tuned DAD. The screw eye and wingnut arrangement on the D string
could be a fine tuner but it’s really there because guitar strings aren’t
quite long enough.
